I'm stealing this post's title from my friend Alison, over at "Older than Jesus." She uses it as a vehicle for describing the fun things her children say. While I was home over Easter, I heard something my niece had said to my brother that I thought was worth sharing. She's I think five years old, maybe six. Apparently, at some point, at the dinner table, my brother Jim let a big one rip. Kate said, without missing a beat: "that'll leave a mark."
Another great "water cooler" moment happened this past Christmas. My brother Steve, my parents and I all chipped in on a kitchen playset that my nieces Betsy and Abigail wanted. Betsy, who is five, was beside herself with excitement after opening the package. She went over to her mom in a frenzy of happiness and said to her, "Momma...I'm so excited, I can't get all my exciteds out!" You gotta love that.

"That'll leave a mark" - that's hilarious.
Hey, how did your hard cider and your bread turn out?
Ahem...your neices and nephews are not your colleagues, making this not really a watercooler tidbit. I am sorry to be so pedantic, but one must keep up one's professional standards, paltry/nonexistent as they might be.
Do keep quoting the young Catholics, however.
Ah, but you forget, Alison, that these are the colleagues of my brothers, and since they relayed the stories to me, they were indeed overheard at the water cooler. Not to be too pedantic or anything, but one must keep up one's professional standards. :-P
