So it's around 90 degrees here in Michigan, and that's just WRONG! Humid, sticky, drippy kinda hot.
Now, I shouldn't have been concerned by the high heat. When I had to put in a new furnace back this past fall, I decided to bite the bullet and put in central air at the same time.
Get this: I can't use my AC. The installers have to come and "turn on" the AC. What's there to turn on? I'm thinking they're going to be charging me money for the convenience of turning on my AC. I'm not paying the buggers, unless they agree to come over to my house to turn the thermostat up and down everytime I want to change the temp, and while they're at it, they can change my channels and grab me a beer out of the fridge.
My AC will be ready to go on Tuesday afternoon, when it's supposed to be in the low 70's. I'm looking on the bright side: maybe I'll sweat away about five pounds in the interim.

You have GOT to be kidding me.
Ours is broken and I pictured you basking in chilled splendor.
Oh, man - that is just wrong! This is a one-time hassle I hope and not a yearly event.
Okay, Dan that sucks.
Alison, your A/C is broke????????????
I can't believe I didn't hear your anguished scream on the westcoast of Canada........are you "self medicating?" Just teasing.
