Here's a picture of the California coast I took a few days ago, looking down from a cliff face about 150 ft above the sea. It was late in the afternoon, and I thought it was absolutely beautiful how the sun was striking the crashing waves, and reflecting off the wet sand. This picture's going to move into my rotating desktop pictures.
On an unrelated note, there is a fan of our open rehearsals whom we've dubbed Yoga Lady. She's a frequent attender of our open rehearsals, and unlike most of the audience, she seems to enjoy doing a little working out while we perform. She stands at the very back of the hall, waving her arms around, stretching and working them over. She'll rotate this with crunches, and do a boatload of them at a time. When she gets tired of this, she'll switch back to the arm swinging thing.
She's probably 70 years old, and thin as a rail, due to her ever present exercising. She's got me beat in the limberness department.
She apparently bugged someone in the horn section, and was asked to refrain from doing her working out in rehearsals. Undaunted, she simply moved to a dark corner to do her calistenics. At tonight's rehearsal, she was wearing all black, and placed herself in the upper most reaches of the auditorium, in a place where we needed to crane our necks to see her. But we found her.
She's completely benign, though probably a little dotty. I've become a fan of the Yoga Lady however. I hope she shows up again.
