And . . . what'd you think about the season premiere?

They definitely took us in another direction...yet again, but could we expect anything less?

Gotta wonder if they're some sort of religious/philosophical commune, separated from the rest of the world by their own choice--OR perhaps separated for other reasons. Very cool to see the plane crash from THEIR perspective.

But man...Henry Gale (aka BEN) is such a creepy dude, isn't he? And what's up with the new chica who's trying to soften up Jack? She's a wolf in sheep's clothing, don't you think?

And how do they have files on Jack and the rest that are so complete? That brings a lot of intrigue to the picture.

I'm just wondering what Sayed and the Koreans are up to as well.

And where does Desmond's girlfriend fit in?

Definitely lots of reasons to stay tuned!

What did you think?

It definitely brought up more fascinating questions.

Ben is creepy and Juliet is wily. Interesting book discussion at beginning of show - Stephen King's Carrie(?)is Juliet's favorite book, discussion of free will on the island - or right to oppose Ben, etc.

Why the grubby clothes of Season 2? And does the townie life demythologize the Others to too great a degree?

And wasn't Desmond listening to "Downtown" in the premiere of Season 2, just as Juliet was in this season premiere? Or was it something else?

Anyway, intriguing stuff. And Creepsville on making Kate feel like a lady (in handcuffs) because she was in for it in the next two weeks (and why two weeks?).

Crazy show. I'm definitely in.

You're right about the beginning discussion at the book club. Wasn't there some mention about numbers, or numerology, and an incredulous comment made questioning why Juliet believes in them? It was definitely an aside, but I think I need to watch that opening scene again online to make sure I catch everything.

Interesting that you wondered about "Downtown." I mentioned that to Torey (Wolfe) and her husband David, wondering if it was the same song. At first, I thought she was Desmond's ex-girlfriend, but obviously that wasn't the case.

Definitely Creepsville with Kate and the dress. Hmm...Sawyer was pretty much just comic relief this time around.

I'll be curious to see how they escape. It changes EVERYTHING! The others are no longer phantoms--you mention how they have been demythologized, and I'd have to agree. That was a thought I had after the premier too. The blinders are off...to a certain extent, but we're all still in the dark.

And I'm glad.
