The Children of Hurin

There's a new Tolkein novel on the streets, believe it or not. I'll be buying it tomorrow.

Check it out.

This is apparently different than the slew of books Christopher Tolkein has compiled of various fragments of his father's writings, and actually is a complete novel. I'm hoping for the best.

I didn't realize it had already been released. I'll have to pick it up myself - I was just thinking yesterday how I needed also to replace my LOTR set, as my current one is missing jackets and pages. Hopefully I can find a set that isn't sporting the dreaded "movie jacket." *shudders*

From the grave, the man continues to harass me. Thankfully.

I wondered if the one comment would be from Paul, my dear husband, who deluded me (unconsciously) into thinking he was a reader just on his passion for Tolkien.

But isn't that enough?

Lord of the Rings would have to be my desGrert island book.
