Looks like it's going to need some repair work though, but I think it will be worth it in the long run. These were used in Western Union offices, made by the Self Winding Clock Co. They had batteries which didn't run the clock itself, but rather powered the winding mechanism. They also featured the ability to connect electronically with one of four central Western Union Clocks across the country and adjust itself to the "master" time.
