Variations

  • I love driving over this bridge in town, and I did so today, with the windows down, enjoying the sight of the sunlight gleaming across the river. It's a narrow, narrow bridge, and the uninitiated believe it can only be navigated by a single vehicle. Veterans know there's just enough room to shoe horn your way past the oncoming traffic. I never fail to smile when I drive it.
  • The house can breathe again: 62ยบ and sunny here in Michigan. The windows are wide open, and it's wonderful to once again feel the wind on your face, while sitting inside. The redbud I planted last year survived the winter, and will be blooming soon, while the viburnums are just about to pop. Photos will be forthcoming, as documentary evidence that spring does actually show up in Michigan, at least occasionally.
  • I'm a fan of Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Blizzards from Dairy Queen. A big, big fan.
  • I'm not a fan of cigarette smoke, and my neighbor is spoiling the fresh smell of spring with one right now. It's a call to charity. Seems I'm going to need more practice.
