I've decided I'm going to become a competitive cook.
Next up is a $10,000 grand prize for creating a cake that best represents one of these Holidays:
Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas.
The creative juices are flowing.
There are some obvious flavors that pop into mind for certain holidays, e.g., pumpkin for Halloween, but what about Father's Day? And Hanukkah I have no clue. I'm thinking of zeroing in on Easter, Mother's Day, Independence Day and Christmas. Though maybe St. Patrick's day would be a good choice, using Guinness Stout, or maybe Bailey's Irish Creme, or perhaps creme de menthe and chocolate. Though I have to say I've grown tired of mint chocolate anything.
I have until September 1 to come up with a recipe to submit.
Hmm...a rich chocolatey cake, with Guinness and Bailey's Irish Creme could be very tasty.
