Sad News

My neighbor came over to me this afternoon and informed me that his wife has cancer, and has been in the cancer center for about ten days. This was sad news. She's been a lifelong smoker, and apparently she had been feeling ill. It turns out that fluid was collecting in her lungs, and they drained three liters of fluid from her lungs and her stomach. They did a screen of the fluid and found cancer cells. The initial take of the doctor is that she has six months to a year to live.

Typing that is very sobering, and I'm sad for her and her family. Please pray for them.

They're Catholic, so I promised I'd get my brother the priest over here to anoint her with oil. Her husband said that they'd appreciate that immensely.
