I just pulled a new test recipe out of the oven, one that I'm working on for a Thanksgiving/Harvest Cake. It's a thing of beauty, and I can't explain how satisfying it is for me to see the finished product when it pops out of the pan.
Doing this stuff makes me a very happy camper. I think the kitchen is my golf course.
