I had a fun day today. I got called a few weeks ago to do a gig at Tiger Stadium with the DSO brass section. My buddy John from the symphony went along too, and we had a fun time. Today was a big fund raiser for scholarships at a local Christian school that serves inner city children. It seemed everywhere you looked there were these orange shirts that you see us wearing. A portion of every ticket sold went to fund the school. We had a great time, and it was exhilarating to be right there on the field. This would fall under the category of very cool gigs.

Summer Pops used to be white jacket, bow tie, but as of this year, we switched to white polos and black pants, which is as close to "jeans days" as we ever get, but we'll take it.
Sonny is a she. And yes, very, very real.
