One more thought.

I had a late night conversation with my good friend Dave. We were talking about the words of Christ when He said, "my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

I think tonight was the first time I saw this. His yoke is easy and his burden is light, not because they are not difficult, but rather because it is his inestimable love that makes it so. His love for us is so profound that being nailed on a Cross for our transgressions is something He willingly did, out of His love for us.

Love is what makes the yoke easy and the burden light. It's hard as nails in the eyes of the world, but that's part of the reason God says, "My ways are not your ways."

Food for thought on my plane trip tomorrow.

OK...it's almost 1:00, and I really need to go pack.
