When you do your taxes, have you ever noticed how it can cause you to relive certain days or events? It surprises me how vividly I can remember very specific moments, simply by holding a receipt in my hand.

I'm having a lot of those moments tonight as I weed through online transaction records and paper receipts. Most of them are fond memories of a great trip, or a great meal, or a good time with friends. Some are bittersweet, however. Those are the ones that bring back memories of the girlfriend.

I'm a hopeless romantic.
