Like a Kid in a Candy Store...

I'm drinking a great Belgian style ale and munching on some pistachios and thinking about chocolates. The result is that I'm totally wired right now. I want to go to bed, but I'm geeked about spending the whole day tomorrow in the kitchen. Thank God for avocations! I feel like I'm 13 again and tomorrow I'm heading to Cedar Point.

I think I'm changing my plans. I'll finish up the two chocolates I started tonight, and then tomorrow I'm making the peppermint bark along with some chocolate covered raspberry truffles. I'm going to whip up some raspberry ganache for making some regular truffles, plus I'm planning on making rochers, which are almond candies robed with milk chocolate.

Should be fun, and I don't think I'll be able to sleep for a few hours since I'm so pumped for tomorrow. Giddy up!

I hope I have nights like this when I'm 90.

Pictures will be forthcoming.

I'm in tears, being neither Westside nor East.

And I love the stamp header. I remember your hauling it out last year. I think it truly captures the spirit of Narnia. And of Christmas.

Enjoy your day today.

One more thing: What's your symphony schedule this and next week? Anything Christmassy for primary graders?

Howdy Scott...are you Michigan bound?

We're in the middle of the Nutcracker, but the problem is that it's ridiculously expensive. I think I do have a buy one/get one free option for Friday's matinee performance, though that may be good only for two people. It's a very good performance however.

If you're in Michigan, perhaps we can meet and I'll have truffles for you...

Lord willing, we'll arrive in Michigan Saturday morning.

I do like truffles ...

When do you head back to N.C.? Maybe a trip over to GR would be in order, or perhaps lunch again? It might be fun to have a Blogger reunion...

Let me know what you think...

Oh, and I'm glad you dig the stamp. Each year I think of sending it to Costco to have an 8x10 made of it and then frame it. I think that'd be very cool.

We might head back to NC as early as Thursday, probably not much later as Laura only gets, basically, a week off.

I'd love to meet up with you all.

Oh, and the printing of the stamp is an excellent idea. I've thought about doing that a couple of times, but not sure how it would turn out. Let me know, if you do it.
