This time around, I'm going to bake every one of these recipes to see how they stack up. I really don't know what else to do, except move on to another contest.

Oh well--it was fun anyway. And I have a few more really tasty cakes under my belt.

Well let me be the first to say that that is complete bollocks. If that doesn't smack of a rigged contest I don't know what does.

I had the pleasure of sinking my teeth into one of your fabulous Irish Cream Guinness cakes and it was the best piece of chocolate cake I have ever put into my mouth, and that's after it had been sitting on the counter for almost a week. That says something.

I will look forward to baking that cake and serving it with pride announcing that this is THE MR DAN's Irish cream, Guinness bunt cake. Enjoy.

Thanks for the vote of support, Allison! And I'll go with it being a rigged contest--that sounds like a good explanation.

I'll happily send you the recipe...just have Torey bop me your email address.

And just for those kind words...anytime you're here, just say the word, and one of those cakes will be waiting for you at your brother's place!

Allison, are you going to evacuate Dan too?

Dan said...

What is "evacuation" in reference too? Is Hurricane Ike heading across Lake Michigan?

Alison has been talking about her evacuation plan for Canada for quite sometime now, you know because of our tsunami's and earthquakes, not to mention the constant threat of bears and cougars one encounters on a daily basis.

Since Monday's stock market fiasco I have been working on my own evacuation plan for Michigan, which indeed does include you Dan, you don't mind living in a house with ALL of the Prinsens AND the Hodgsons do you?

The more the merrier! But the real question is if the houseful is really willing to live with a houseful of me?

I don't think you've ever seen my kitchen...oh but your sister and law and Alison have.

With me in your kitchen, you might just have to plan an evacuation plan of your own! But at least there will be tasty food to be had...
