Man...it would seem that my body only likes to sleep during naps in the afternoon, not at night when I'm supposed to be zzzing away. I think I fell asleep last night sometime after 2:00, then woke at 5:30 and was wide awake by 6:00. I got up, took half an Ambien, and fell back asleep sometime after 6:30, because it just wasn't gonna happen any other way, then crashed awake at 9:00, feeling really woozy from the Ambien. I'm exhausted now, and know that if I head up to take a nap, I could easily be gone for three hours. It's a weird thing that I can so easily fall asleep during the middle of the day, just not at night.
