I feel like a twig....

Today marks 20 lbs. down, kiddos!

I'm gonna be blowing away in the wind pretty soon.

Well, only if Grand Rapids gets hit with a Cat-5 hurricane (Hurricane Jabba perhaps?).

I'm down 25% of what I want to lose. The goal is March or April.

I'm down 20 in about three and a half weeks. Ten pounds more a month is very doable.

Watch out, ladies...

Man, what are you doing to lose weight?

I need to start something now.

Hey Scott,

Well, the first two weeks, I did Atkins hardcore...lost the first 15 pounds or so actually during that time, believe it or not...though the weekend before I started I was eating and drinking beer way too much...and when you start Atkins, you can lose four or five pounds in two days--it's all water gain. But it can really jump start you, and once I get about four days in, I'm fine. Eggs and bacon for breakfast, grilled chicken for lunch, a steak for dinner, deviled eggs as a snack. Crab salad, shrimp salad, roast beef, beef jerky, hot sticks...variety's the key, and it's not bad, once you get used to it.

Beyond that, I've been working on portion control, trying to retrain myself. The exercise is creeping in, but it's not regular enough yet.

My main method of weight loss is going to be limiting the carbs though, with days interspersed where I go cold turkey, and on the other days I'll bring in limited good carbs (including the occasional slice of homemade bread, of course).

Just inching down. I'd like to use a couple of pounds a week, and I think that's doable.

Plus, I've got a competition on, and that gets me motivated.

Jump on board, buddy!
